Seaba Ang Dahilan?

Siya nga ba? Seaba talaga?! O, siya!

#GilasLeaks: The 24-man Pool Reveal

First things first. Happy New Year! Well, am I too late to the party? Okay, there's 300-something days before Christmas, so then. This blog's been in deep slumber for quite some time. Yeah, laundry, chores and all. The usual.

PBA Under Storm

The Philippine Basketball Association was supposed to open on Sunday,  October 18th. But we all know it was cancelled. Is this the first time in the 41 years of the league to have an opening day festivity cancelled?

Gilas and PHL Politics: Coach Tab Should Be Next President

The circus just hit town! How time flies. Six years ago was just like yesterday when we saw Ely Pamatong doing his stunts as he filed his Certificate of Candidacy. Don't look now, he just did the predictable, you guessed it right, doing some flag-torching stunts once again and filing his COC for the 7,645,985th time! But wait, there's more: One who claims to be an alien. A weirdo named Archangel Lucifer. Fifty more names and counting! (Now breathe again). Face palm.

GILAS is PBA but is it Vice Versa?

For us Gilas fans we want to believe that this 3.0 version of our Senior Men's Basketball team has overachieved. Of course the gold was just one win away. Or maybe a perfect shooting night away. Or let's say a perfect freethrow shooting night away (how many bricks did we throw at the 15-foot line, at least 11 right?).

How To Cope With The Gilas Gold Medal Loss

A lot of us Gilas fans are sulking in sadness over the finals match loss to China. It's a "Sunday Mourning" back in the Philippines. But we can't be dwelling on this for the rest of time. Monday and a new week is at hand. And it means we all need to go back to business. But how, when the 11-point drubbing is just too fresh in our memories? When what preoccupies our minds right now is the lost chance to go back to the Olympics. So here's how we can go about with this stinging loss.

Fiba Asia Finals: The Gilas FAN Checklist

While our Gilas tacticians headed by Coach Tab Baldwin have pretty much prepared a list for tonight’s awaited Gold Medal match with China, we fans are likewise getting ready. How do you prepare for tonight’s final game?  Here’s our Gilas Pilipinas Fan Checklist:

Easy, Easy.

I'm not sure a lot would remember Lionel Richie's classic song Easy and its opening line: Know it sounds funny But I just can't stand the pain...

Faith & Fate

This photo speaks a thousand words. No. Millions maybe. The moment we saw this picture of Asi Taulava by FIBA we immediately had our own stories to tell. It's very imposing. And it has elicited a lot of stories from every Filipino.

Ang Gilas. Si Anish.

Half time ng laro ng Gilas Pilipinas at India. Hindi na naman ako ma-steady sa upuan. Naisip ko pumunta na muna ng panaderia at bumili ng bagong lutong pandesal.

Thank You, Monday!

Not everyone loves Mondays. Students. Employees. Who else? It is usually a day after the weekend. And it means back to work, to school, stores or businesses, or what-have-yous.

He Ain't Heavy

Well actually he is. I'm no expert on muscles or stuffs like that, but I guess the lower extremities sometimes couldn't take much of his weight. And that makes his ankles injury-prone.

Punch Sabay Hug

Saturday's a rest day. No Gilas game. Some wives (or husbands perhaps) were smiling. Their diehard Gilas fan spouses were in their normal selves.

Pastilan, Palestine!

This is it pancit. The day has come. Buhay na naman ang mga Pinoy basketball fans. It's Gilas time!

Which Gilas Fan Are You?

It’s the time of the year again. When all Pinoy basketball fans from the world over get excited and glued to their televisions, laptops and smartphones.

WWJD: What Would Junmar Do?

It was in the 90s that the acronym WWJD became a hit. I'm referring to the famous Evangelical Christian slogan: "What Would Jesus Do?".

Romeo Must Dye

He's the hottest Gilas 3.0 player —on and off the court ! And everyone's on the look for a monicker for this kid. Move over Voldemort, we got here "he-who-MUST-be-named".

May Chansa Sa Changsha

The Dirty dozen is out. Are we surprised? Maybe not. Yung iba, siyempre hoping na napasama yung mga manok nila. Well, of course Jordan Clarkson could've been the surprise of all surprises had he made it to the Final 12. So, kaya ba?
