 The moment we saw this picture of Asi Taulava by FIBA we immediately had our own stories to tell. It's very imposing. And it has elicited a lot of stories from every Filipino.

 Yung iba naalala si Japeth Aguilar (okay fine, pati si June Mar). Maraming naka-relate na kesyo kahit itsurang bugbog, pagod, baldado--handang lumaban pa din. Hindi lang si Asi ang nakikita natin. Actually kamay nga lang na may mga plaster yan pero iba't-ibang kuwento ang namutawi sa ating mga bibig at isipan. Sobrang nakaka-inspire sa gitna ng mga pinagdadaanan natin sa araw-araw. May mga kanya-kanya tayong benda, plaster o kinesiology tapes na kelangan natin ipanglunas sa ating mga pagod na katawan. Pero kahit mahirap, pinipili pa din nating lumaban. Araw-araw.

Today's a big day. We were greeted and elated by a very happy Monday when we finally defeated Iran.

But today our fate as a basketball nation will be defined. It's been a long while that we've been to the Olympics. Sobrang tagal na. Kaya konting kembot nalang, palapit na tayo nang palapit sa hangarin nating ginto.

Gilas 3.0 although relatively new but definitely NOT haphazardly assembled has been through a lot. And they showed us that they are going to fight for us. For us who believed in them. For us who trusted Coach Tab.

Let's keep the faith mga ka-fans. Kaya natin yan. These 12 gallant soldiers will carry OUR fight.

Laban Pilipinas! Puso!

SANA Ma Beach!

Mas mabuti yatang tumigil nalang sa pagsuporta sa koponan ng bayan. Mas mainam yata na manisi nalang. Mangutya nang lubus-lubusan. Mang-asar at sabihing mali sila. Tanga si Coach Tab at tinanggal si Abueva. Dapat pinaglaro si ganito. Dapat ginawa yung ganyang play. Dapat tinira na ni Chan, bakit pinasa pa. Dapat sa ilalim lang si Blatche. Dapat hindi si Blatche yung naturalized player natin. Sana hindi tayo yung first game kahapon. Sana nagpahiram yung ibang team noong Fiba Asia nung nakaraang taon. Sana pwede si Clarkson. Sana nanalo tayo sa France. Sana hindi nalang natin ni-boo yung Haka ng Tall Blacks (malas daw kasi na i-boo). Sana nilakasan pa natin yung sigaw. Sana hindi lang "De-fense...De-fense" yung alam nating i-chant. Sana hindi nalang tayo naging fans. Sana'y pag-ibig nalang ang isipin... (Teka, anong linya 'to?)
