#Gilas12: Bigger Than Their Names

The names are out. These are the names that represent us all. Like them or not, they carry on their chest our identity as a nation—complicated by different issues that affect us as a country. But as Gilas Pilipinas march on to the FIBA World Cup in China, their names bring with them this one resounding message:

Nuff said.

May our #Gilas12 play like the enemies (~~and host~~) are about to take everything from them—with our precious homeland at stake.

They say we just scream #ParaSaBayan this time. Guess, we should stick to what fires up our bravery as we face adversities. And to never back down despite the odds.

Interview with the Lobo

It's an historic game 7. And almost every party involved were asked for a word or two. They were saying bonuses not as important as the prestige of coming back from a 0-3 quagmire. The other team saying they've never been motivated to finish off what they have started. But one thing for sure is left in the dark. Literally all by their lonesome at the rafters.

I'm not sure a lot would remember Lionel Richie's classic song Easy and its opening line: Know it sounds funny But I just can't stand the pain...

Sana nanalo tayo sa France. Sana hindi nalang natin ni-boo yung Haka ng Tall Blacks (malas daw kasi na i-boo). Sana nilakasan pa natin yung sigaw. Sana hindi lang "De-fense...De-fense" yung alam nating i-chant. Sana hindi nalang tayo naging fans. Sana'y pag-ibig nalang ang isipin... (Teka, anong linya 'to?)
